Lies of P is a Victorian steampunk-inspired RPG that was first announced in mid-2021. Round8 Studio, the developer behind Bless Unleashed, is working on this action RPG to deliver an interactive retelling of Pinocchio in a setting heavily inspired by FromSoftware’s Bloodborne games.
The official release date for Lies of P has been announced as September 19, 2023, along with the release of a ten-minute gameplay trailer. The trailer provides a detailed glimpse into the combat, exploration, and core mechanics of the game.
In this twisted interpretation of the classic fairy tale, you’ll play as Pinocchio, a mechanoid puppet, on a quest to find Geppetto and become human. Fight your way through a city of dangerous creatures and unearth its secrets in the darkly elegant world of the Belle Epoque era. Develop your own unique fighting style by combining dynamic weapons, unleashing Fable Arts, and upgrading Legion Arms.
Developer Neowiz Games has confirmed that the game will take around 30 hours to complete. The director of the game, Choi Ji-Won, said that this would include both the main story and all of the side content in the game.
Lies of P Gameplay Trailer
Developers at Round8 Studio have released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming dark twist on Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio. The video showcases the game’s dark Victorian setting, as well as several gameplay systems. These include the weapons assembly system, which allows the player to combine blades and handles; Legion Arms, which unlock new playstyles; and Fable Arts, which are unique abilities attached to weapons.
The gameplay looks very much like Bloodborne and Sekiro, with the player navigating the dark streets of Krat, a city gripped by madness and lust for blood.

Lies of P Demo – How Long is the Lies of P Demo?
The Lies of P demo is a good way for players to get a feel for the game. It takes around an hour or two to complete, depending on the player’s pace. The demo features a full-game experience and introduces the core mechanics of the game. It also includes three boss encounters and a number of unique areas to explore.
