Have Fun with the Turn-based Combat Mechanics Influenced by the ATB System

Worldless is known for its turn-based combats that are influenced by the ATB system. In these battles, as a player, you must maximize your damage output strategically while working within time constraints. This combat system is not only central to the game but also highly enjoyable, as it requires you to carefully consider which attack types to use against specific foes’ weaknesses and resistances.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the game’s combat system draws inspiration from classic RPGs like Final Fantasy but with a unique twist. To make the gameplay more interesting, developers put a timer that determines how long each attack lasts. This adds a strategic element to the game, as you need to make smart choices about which attacks to use based on the strengths and weaknesses of your enemies. 

Along with its combat mechanics, Worldless also features exploratory elements that are reminiscent of Metroidvania-style games. As you progress through the game, you can unlock new abilities and reveal aspects of the abstract world. Optional foes and collectibles are also available to enhance your stats. Some fights will require specific strategies or abilities to achieve victory, which adds puzzle-like elements to combat encounters.

There is also a skill tree that allows you to upgrade skills and stats, adding depth to the combat. These upgrades are vital for later encounters, offering choices between stat upgrades, new combat skills, and extended combos for different attack types.
